The staff at AMARA Medical Aesthetics strives to help clients feel comfortable while also introducing them to technically advanced, cutting edge equipment and sophisticated skin care products. Medical director Dr. Kristin J. Tarbet, MD, supervises each procedure done at AMARA and has curated her staff to include the best professionals in the industry.
Natalia Ryzhkova, RN
Nurse Injector & Laser Specialist
Natalia Ryzhkova began her medical career in 2010 in Moscow, Russia, where she practiced as a devoted Physician specializing in Dermatology. During this time, she also owned and operated a successful Med-Spa, offering advanced treatments including biorevitalization, mesotherapy, and a full spectrum of dermatologic care.
With over a decade of experience in both clinical and aesthetic medicine, Natalia brings a unique blend of medical expertise and artistic vision to every treatment. She has an intuitive understanding of facial symmetry, proportions, and timeless beauty, paired with a meticulous attention to detail that allows her to create refined, natural-looking results tailored to each individual.
As a highly skilled nurse injector, Natalia is proficient in all neurotoxins and dermal fillers, and is extensively trained in chemical peels, laser services, PDO threads, and hair restoration procedures. She specializes in a variety of advanced, non-surgical techniques, working side by side with renowned oculoplastic surgeon Dr. Kristin Tarbet to deliver comprehensive, cutting-edge aesthetic care.
Natalia continued her education in Miami, Florida before relocating to the Pacific Northwest, where she continues to expand her expertise through ongoing specialized training. She is fully bilingual in English and Russian, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of patients and ensure every individual feels informed, comfortable, and confident.

Evelyn Spieker ARNP
Nurse Practitioner & Aesthetic Injector (Medical Director as needed)
Evelyn brings over 15 years of experience in aesthetic and injectable cosmetic treatments to AMARA. With advanced training in Botox, PDO threads, and a wide range of dermal fillers, she has developed a strong reputation for delivering beautiful, natural-looking results tailored to each client’s unique features.
She earned her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Washington and has a diverse clinical background, including a strong foundation in women’s health. This multidisciplinary experience enhances her holistic approach to patient care and aesthetic medicine.
Evelyn is passionate about blending the science of injectables with the artistry of aesthetics. She takes the time to understand each client’s goals and combines her technical skill with a keen eye for detail to achieve results that are subtle, balanced, and confidence-boosting.

Mona Shawy, M.D., Ph.D. – Aesthetic Injector

With a background in both clinical practice and scientific research, she began her journey in aesthetics in 2022 and has quickly gained recognition for her skilled, thoughtful approach to patient care.
Dr. Shawy is experienced in a wide range of non-surgical treatments, including dermal fillers, neurotoxins, Sculptra, PRP, PRF, EzGel, PDO threads, and both the O-Shot and P-Shot. She also offers support and guidance for patients exploring GLP-1–based medical weight loss solutions, helping individuals feel confident from the inside out.

Steve Nelson, RN — Aesthetic Nurse Injector
Steve Nelson, RN, brings a unique blend of extensive clinical experience and artistic talent to AMARA Medical Aesthetics. With over 20 years in the field of plastic surgery, Steve spent the majority of his career in Beverly Hills, where he worked as both a nurse injector and nurse anesthetist alongside some of the industry’s leading plastic surgeons.
After years of practicing medical aesthetics in Beverly Hills and Palm Springs, Steve relocated to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to family—bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and a refined eye for beauty.
He received his nursing education and training through Elgin Community College and St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing. In addition to his medical expertise, Steve is also an accomplished artist who enjoys drawing and visual design—skills that seamlessly translate into his approach to aesthetics. His artistic background enables him to enhance each patient’s natural features with subtlety and precision.

Her career began under the mentorship of top skincare professionals, where she developed a strong foundation in skin health, advanced facial techniques, and cosmetic artistry.
In addition to her extensive work as an aesthetician, Tanya has a rich background in professional makeup, having worked with prestigious retailers such as Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. She also brings luxury spa experience from working with the renowned Salish Spa, where she refined her approach to high-end spa treatments.
Tanya specializes in luxury facials tailored to each client’s individual skin type and goals. Whether she’s working with celebrities, busy professionals, or first-time clients, her passion lies in creating personalized treatment plans that bring out each person’s natural glow—helping their inner beauty shine through.
